Regular treatment with new Effipro® is quick and easy, and can keep your dog or cat free of fleas and the irritation they cause. The easy-to-use, non-drip Effipro® pipettes are ideal for routine flea control – treat every 4-8 weeks for flea control.

Given that 95% of the flea population lives off your pet, it is vital to treat your home with a household treatment, otherwise it will simply provide a constant source of reinfection.
Fleas may still jump onto your pet as it socialises outside the home, but regular treatment with Effipro® will keep this under control.

  • Only 5% of the flea population are adults – Effipro® kills them and stops them laying eggs.
  • 95% of the flea population in your home is hidden under your sofa, beds, skirting and floor boards, in your carpets and your pet’s bed. Indorex will reach and control these fleas.
  • Pupae are not killed by any insecticidal product, so can only be controlled as they hatch.

Fipronil is a member of the phenyl pyrazole class of insecticides. Fipronil selectively binds to invertebrate GABA receptors disrupting the central nervous system leading to death of insects. Fipronil spreads from the site of application through the sebum layer to provide prolonged activity. It is active against fleas on cats for at least 5 weeks and on dogs for at least 2 months. Controls flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) by breaking the flea life cycle.

Topical treatment for the prevention and control of flea infestations in cats and dogs over 8 weeks of age. Treatment and control of flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) on affected cats and dogs.

Hold the pipette upright. Tap the narrow part of the pipette to ensure that the contents are within the main body of the pipette. Break the snap-off top of the pipette by bending it back and forward along the scored line. Part the pet's coat, touch the pipette tip to the skin and gently squeeze. Repeat this procedure at 1 or 2 different sites between the back of the neck and shoulders until empty. Can be used safely in breeding, pregnant or lactating bitches and queens.

Repeat treatments at monthly intervals in cats and at two-monthly intervals in dogs. However, where the levels of flea infestation are high, or for the treatment and control of FAD, apply monthly in both cats and dogs. For the best level of flea control, treat all the cats and dogs in the household.

If the animal or its environment is heavily infested with fleas when Effipro is first applied, full control of flea challenge will not be immediately apparent, as the number of new fleas infesting the animal may lead to visible infestation, even while the treatment is effective. To ensure good flea control in these circumstances, the flea breeding cycle must be attacked at each point.
